Many consider that telling a story with data is simply about creating a series of charts and putting them together in a deck. However, this does not necessarily contain a narrative. It may not offer context, insights or structure. A good data story involves bringing the audience on a journey – one which allows them to make better data-driven decisions once they truly understand the story behind the data. This session explores the components of the why, where, what and how of a good narrative, just like how a story would be.
